The Senior Graphic Design and Studio Art Exhibition recently closed at the Lore Degenstein Gallery. The show was open until April 17. The exhibition, titled “Vision”, featured 12 designers and artists.

The students featured include Danielle Fessler, Xavier Stansberry, Christopher Stamm, Anthony Prosachik, Angela Poole, Ryan Miller, Brittany McNett, Samantha Lisowski, Nathan Fagnano, Saige Graham, Kimberly Gust, and Bethany Hack.

Each student had their own display in the gallery with works that they have created and their logos, business cards, and resumes. The types of works range from textile studio art to packaging design to branding. Each piece is a representation of the talent and dedication of the students during their time at Susquehanna.

Stansberry said, “I learned many things throughout my 4 years as a designer. But one take-away I would pass along is to not make excuses. There are many things going on in my personal life, academic life, and professional career. But what if we all had excuses for not doing something? A lot of things would never get done, and a lot of great work and talent wouldn’t exist; so no excuses.”

The exhibition also featured a memoriam to Mark Fertig, department chair and professor of art and graphic design. The display featured three of Fertig’s works.

Lisowski said, “If it wasn’t for Mark, I would not be at Susquehanna right now. The way he talked about the Graphic Design program here, made me excited. I felt that by attending SU as a design major I would be pushed and tested every day in order to become the best version of myself. I will forever be grateful for him.”

Lisowski also thanked professors Nick Stephenson and Amanda Lenig: “I thank Nick for being such a great professor at a time when we were all still learning how to keep moving forward after such a tough year in the SUGD community. Lastly, without Amanda, me and my fellow peers would not be where we are as designers today. I have grown so much as a designer this past year and that is part because of her. The tough love she gave us, made us stronger and capable of handling criticism.”
