SELINSGROVE- The city has a new café slotted to have a soft opening at the end of November, and they are looking for student help!

The Switch It Up Café, located at 2 N. Orange St. is preparing for their soft opening by November 30. The opening is aligned with the launch of Camp Driven, the non-profit organization that is receiving some of the proceeds from the shop’s sales. These proceeds will support the different programs offered by the organization, as well as the seven charities they support.

Camp Driven is an organization that is aimed at aiding individuals to tap into their passions through serving one another through the various programs that they offer. Owner Debbie Hawk, of Selinsgrove, says that they are, “A group of individuals helping others who feel trapped by life’s challenges overcome them by creating a healthier body, mind and soul.”

Hawk says that the goal of their café is to keep things as affordable and healthy as possible. With some food coming from the garden, they plan to educate people on growing and eating the fruits of their own labor. Hawk also plans to offer discounts for Susquehanna students.

Along with that, they plan to host many fitness and life skills classes to teach people how to live a healthier lifestyle. Hawk says their passion is to help individuals create a healthier body, mind and soul.

Hawk is calling for the aid of students and community members to help get the café off the ground and running. Anyone that is willing to help with anything concerning life skills and overall wellness, text or call her at 570-850-0689.

You can also contact Camp Driven directly by calling 570-224-1771 or emailing to campdriven78@gmail.com
