“The Bucknell Tune-Up was just a last-minute chance for a few people to compete,” Senior jumper Maya Khanna said.

“The sprinters did some great things. I think a lot of people needed the weekend off to get rested up for champs. We’re all going in with a really focused mindset. Everyone is excited to compete and we know we can do some big things.”

On the men’s side, sophomore sprinter Johnathon White placed third on the day with a personal best time of 22.82 in the 200m dash which placed him first in the conference. His time also placed him third all-time at Susquehanna.

“We think we have the group to take down Moravian this year,” Junior hurdler Lance Hofer said.

“Catholic and Elizabethtown will give us a little bit of trouble but us and Moravian will be the ones really competing for the championship. We are all shooting to get some personal records but getting on the podium is the main goal for everyone to try and get as many points as possible.”

With the Bucknell Tune-Up wrapping up the regular season, the teams will be back in action for championship weekend on Saturday, Feb. 29th at 11 a.m. in the James W. Garrett Sports Complex Field House.
