For the season that brings sweater weather and pumpkin spice, people crave to capture those warm, fall feelings in their photos.

Whether that’s by taking pictures of the red-orange colored leaves that gently flow from the trees or striking a pose with your perfect pumpkin, fall has the air that gets people in the mood to take more pictures than usual.

Despite the overflow of the season’s festivities posted to social media, people usually can’t shake the habit of taking a selfie on the first day of fall. It comes with the change of the season. This only sets the platform for what the rest of the season will hold.

Despite the crisp air that hits your bones as you walk around in the hazy mornings to your classes, there’s nothing that gets you quite ready to start your day than the smell of spiced chai or pumpkin roaming through the air.

In this hazy travel to classes, how many people stop to take pictures of the way the rising sun is reflecting on those red leaves or how the breeze sweeps the leaves into the air that swirl around like the middle of a tornado’s funnel? Count me in.

Don’t mind the person behind you that just slammed into you, spilling their perfect cup of chai, just as long as you got the perfect picture to post on Instagram.

Or, while you’re wrapped up in a scarf with your sorority sisters at the pumpkin patch, your phone in one hand and picture-perfect pumpkin in the other. You turn to her and ask, “Is it Instagram worthy?” The answer is always yes.

You can’t help that everything about the season is so aesthetic from how the air holds your curls in place, to the way the stacks of hay and color of the leaves bring out your wholesome complexion.

Speaking of, fun-fact for those science lovers, the more red color that a leaf holds, the more sugar that the leaf is storing.

This is also why maple trees are so vibrant in their color. It’s the perfect, most gracious transition to go from careless, warm summer days to the cold, teeth-shivering winter days. The Neighbourhood got it right with their song “Sweater Weather.”

The decision time has arrived. Should you post the warm sweater selfie or the cute cozied up with your boyfriend selfie?

Regardless of your favorite fall scenario, what better way to welcome in the end of the year then by with a million selfies. For as long as it makes you happy and eager to make the most of every day,  let it become selfie time.
