This past week, Susquehanna University’s Greek life hosted their annual Greek week competition. Every year, the fraternities and sororities vote on a theme to follow, and this year’s theme was “Universal Studios.” The week consisted of different games where fraternities and sororities competed to earn points to possibly be named 2026 Greek Week Champions at the end of the week.

Events took place from Monday, April 13 until the long anticipated Airband performance on Sunday, April 19. This year’s MCs were Karly Wolfe, member of Zeta Tau Alpha and Brennan Fitch, member of Phi Mu Delta.

To kick off the start of Greek Week, each organization created a banner to represent their universal theme and voting occurred for the first round of points to be won. The themes among the fraternities were Phi Mu Delta as Madagascar, Theta Chi as Kung Fu Panda, Tau Kappa Epsilon as Minions, Pi Kappa Phi as Pitch Perfect, and Sigma Alpha Iota as 5 Nights at Freddy’s. The sororities themes were Sigma Kappa as Back to the Future, Alpha Delta Pi as Fast and Furious, Kappa Delta as The Purge, and Zeta Tau Alpha as Men in Black. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority combined as Super Mario.

The first game the members competed in was a scavenger hunt that took place around campus. Everyone was given clues and tasks to complete and the first ones to accomplish those tasks were crowned the winners. Sigma Kappa and Theta Chi were the first-place winners for this event, earning points toward their final scores.

The next couple of games and winners were Jeopardy, with winners Tau Kappa Epsilon and Kappa Delta, Dodgeball, with winners Theta Chi and Kappa Delta, Pickleball, with winners Theta Chi and Kappa Delta, Volleyball with winners Pi Kappa Phi and Kappa Delta, and lastly, Cornhole with winners Pi Kappa Phi and Sigma Kappa.

To wrap up the Greek community’s hard work, the Airband dance competition took place in Weber Chapel on Sunday, April 19. The event was open to everyone with an entrance fee of $5 cash.

Each organization worked for weeks to create a dance that represented their individual theme.

“Getting the opportunity to plan and run Greek Week and Airband alongside my co-chair Brennan Fitch was one of the most rewarding experiences. Seeing everyone come together to raise money for philanthropy, while having a lot of fun doing it was truly amazing,” said Karly Wolfe about her time as MC.

This year’s Airband and overall Greek Week winners were Kappa Delta and Theta Chi.
