The Luxury Brand Marketing Club, also commonly referred to as LBMC, kicked off last year in theall semester of 2024. The club was new on campus and had big dreams. In the following spring semester, the club hosted a fashion show which has now become an annual event in the spring semesters to come.
This semester, the fashion show will be held on Sunday, March 29th in the Degenstein Campus Center Theater. The doors open at 12 p.m. and the show starts promptly at 2pm. The theme is “Defining Decades.” LBMC is once again partnering with Community Aid, who provided student designers with gift cards for the pieces that match their model’s assigned decade for the show.
With the theme “Defining Decades,” each model and designer duo selected a decade to represent through fashion. This partnership with Community Aid is especially meaningful to LBMC because it allows the show to remain sustainable, which is an important value in the fashion world. It gives clothing that might otherwise be overlooked a chance to shine on stage in front of a full audience.
Before the show begins, there will be an open bar, live music, outside vendors, and student vendors lining the hallway of Degenstein outside the theater. The hallway will be fully decorated, and guests are encouraged to dress in all-black attire to help create a luxurious atmosphere. Through this event, LBMC is striving to make attendees feel like they’ve stepped into a high-end fashion experience for the day. Theater production students are building a custom runway for the models, adding an authentic runway feel to the show. Decorations throughout the hallway and theater will include professional balloon art, floral arrangements, faux flowers, candles, and even a red carpet.
There is also a new option for VIP seating for both students and adults. Each VIP table includes four seats in the front row, a personal high-top table in the hallway, a bottle of champagne, and a cheese-and-cracker board. This option is perfect for loved ones and friends supporting students in the show.
The team behind the event includes President and Founder Isabella Fallon (senior) and her three event managers: Ava Jernigan (junior), the Event Director of Production and Venue; Haley Lane (senior), the Event Director of Media and Content; and Noel Bailey (sophomore), the Event Director of Partnership and Vendor Relations. The team has been planning since the summer to ensure every detail is perfect for the big day.
If you plan to attend the show, please come dressed in black and arrive at noon to give yourself time to explore the vendors, enjoy the live music, grab a drink, take photos at the photo walls, and mingle with friends while experiencing a luxurious afternoon in Selinsgrove.
