For a long time, I’ve been thinking about what I want my career to be. I originally wanted to become a politician, because I wanted to reform this nation. But after witnessing years of divisive polarization, I decided that politics was not the right fit for me.

So, I thought that if I am to have a career, then I should do something that I genuinely enjoy. And while continuing to remain in the news media would both be financially beneficial for me and be fitting for me, my true passion is to become a screenwriter.

Ever since I was 16 years old, I wrote several stories, scripts, and other pieces of writing. Some of them I’m proud about, while others that I cringe at. I’m continuing to write some scripts when I have time to myself. Over the years, I have had a multitude of interests but my passion for writing has stayed the same.

I want to write content that people will both enjoy and be inspired by it. I’d love to be involved in several projects, whether it’s live-action or animated. And there will probably be some future projects that I would be interested in. Wherever I do start, I’m going to make the most out of my first experience as a professional writer. I want to use my writing skills for the entertainment industry.

I’m certainly not perfect as a writer, as I frequently procrastinate and get writer’s block.

And I am rather opinionated when it comes to my preferences. But I can improve with more experience and better knowledge. I’m open to criticism and feedback, because I want to get even better at writing.

I’ve seen several movies, TV shows and cartoons, and they’ve helped me learn how I can improve my own writing and avoid making mistakes. And I’m going to continue to improve as I gain more wisdom on writing scripts.

I consider myself a creative writer, even though I’m not going to major in it. I have grown to love journalism and I’d like to continue being involved in the news media, particularly as an opinion writer.

But I also want to be a writer who makes a lasting contribution to the entertainment industry. I can make a legacy for myself by getting involved in projects that I find appealing, and that’s what I want to do with my life.
