A thunderous second-half comeback propelled the men’s soccer team to a 4-3 win over King’s on Tuesday in non-conference action at Sassafras Field.
The River Hawks (4-4) scored all four of their goals in the second half. Angelo Zografos scored two goals in the 45th and 64th minute while Alex Clark and Khalil McDonald added on strikes in the 46th and 85th minutes, respectively.
John Kuderka assisted on Zografos’s first tally.

The Monarchs scored two goals in the first half and one early in the second. Costantino Villano struck first in the 13th minute before Lewisburg native Philip Permyashkin scored in the 18th minute. Jackson Nuttall then capped off King’s tally in the 45th minute.
Finn Kramer made two saves for Susquehanna in the win. Ben Van Valkenburg made three for the Monarchs (2-3-3).
Tuesday was Susquehanna’s third consecutive win, putting the River Hawks in prime form ahead of Saturday’s Landmark Conference opener against No. 20 Scranton, set to be played at 3:30 p.m. at Sassafras Field.
