Three River Hawks posted a double-digit scoring total as the men’s basketball team rolled to a 74-53 victory over Goucher on Wednesday at O.W. Houts Gymnasium in the Landmark Conference opener.

Marcus Mitchell, Michael Pirone and Audric Washington totaled 11 points each to lead the way for Susquehanna (3-1 overall, 1-0 Landmark)

Susquehanna took control of the game late in the first half when the River Hawks ended the half on a 15-4 scoring run, with Allen Cieslak scoring 8 points. SU led by 11 at halftime.

Men’s basketball will play at Moravian on Saturday before heading on the road again to Catholic in a rematch of the 2023-24 Landmark title game. The Cardinals split the regular-season series with SU last season. The Cardinals received votes in D3hoops.com’s preseason poll.
