Susquehanna University Women’s Tennis fell to Misericordia University 0-9 in Selinsgrove on Saturday.
The River Hawks have dropped three straight matches to the Cougars and have lost six of their last 11 matches against Misericordia since 2008.
Bella Scappaticci and Grace Tepes lost 1-8 at No. 1 doubles while Kristin Blair and Chelsea Kneedler fell by the same score at No. 2 doubles to put Susquehanna down 0-2.
Eliza Mahoney and Olivia Tepes fell 4-8 at No. 3 doubles to complete Misericordia’s doubles sweep and put the River Hawks behind 0-3 early.
Grace Tepes was defeated 0-6, 0-6 at No. 2 singles while Scappaticci lost at No. 1 singles 0-6, 0-6 to seal Susquehanna’s loss.
At No. 3 singles, Blair fell 0-6, 0-6 while Mahoney lost 2-6, 0-6 at No. 5 singles to put the River Hawks down 0-7.
Kneedler lost at No. 4 singles 1-6, 2-6 to make the Susquehanna deficit 0-8.
At No. 6 singles Julia Pardo won her first set 6-3 before losing her second set 0-6 and the tiebreaker set 3-10 to finish the River Hawk’s 0-9 shutout.
Susquehanna will finish its fall season with meetings at Lock Haven University on Oct. 9 and at home against Penn College on Oct. 10.
