Over the weekend of Oct. 24-26, hundreds of Susquehanna University alumni and their families returned to campus for the 2025 Homecoming reunion.

Homecoming-reunion weekend is one of Susquehanna’s oldest and most beloved traditions, where alumni from all generations return to campus to reconnect.

Over $10 million was donated to Susquehanna University during the reunion brunch and Milestone Recognition event by the class years ending in 0’s and 5’s.

The Milestone Recognition spanned from the Class of 2020 (5th reunion) to the Class of 1975 (50th reunion).

Alumni were able to reconnect with their former classmates, attend athletic events, enjoy campus tours and more. Other special events included the gridiron matchup between your Susquehanna University River Hawks and the Catholic University Cardinals.

Saturday’s all-day tent party on Smith Lawn provided live music and craft beer while the children of the alumni families enjoyed a kids’ zone with a bouncy house. Guests enjoyed class reunion happy hours, fraternity and sorority gatherings, faculty lectures, and campus dedications. The music department performed the Homecoming concert in Stretansky Concert Hall on Friday, Oct. 24.

The Class of 1975 did their 50th walking tour around campus and got a class photo. The class years ending in 0’s and 5’s had reunion receptions at the admissions house at various times throughout the weekend. The 10th anniversary of Sports Media and the 15th anniversary of the Natural Sciences Center were celebrated on Saturday.

The 6th annual Figurative Art Exhibition opening reception was held in Lore Degenstein Gallery from 7-9 p.m. This national, juried visual art competition and exhibition was open to two-dimensional figurative artists (referencing the human figure), working in painting, drawing, and printmaking, who are over the age of 18. This year’s juror was Yvonne Petkus, distinguished professor of painting at Western Kentucky University. Petkus gave remarks and awarded prizes during the opening reception.
