Volleyball Sweeps Lycoming, Wins Fifth Straight

The volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 defeat of Lycoming in Landmark Conference play Friday night at O.W. Houts Gymnasium.

Jessica Sack and Kyndall Mason each recorded 13 digs to lead the River Hawks (8-13 overall, 4-0 Landmark); Mason also recorded nine kills while Sack notched one ace.

Elliott Schleicher recorded 32 assists in the victory while Valerie Stoltz chipped in nine kills.

The River Hawks won the three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-14.

After opening the season with 10 straight losses, failing to take a single set, the team has won eight of its last 11 matches.

Following a loss to Juniata on Saturday, the River Hawks will next be in action against Scranton and No. 21 Virginia Wesleyan in a Friday-night doubleheader at Scranton. The team will next be at home against Goucher on Oct. 31.
