It took only one Ava Billmeyer goal for the women’s soccer team to defeat Moravian 1-0 in Landmark Conference action Saturday at Sassafras Field.

Billmeyer’s strike came in the 28th minute off an assist from Audrey Miller. It was Billmeyer’s fourth goal of the year.

The River Hawks (8-7-1 overall, 3-2-1 Landmark) outshot the Greyhounds (2-10-2, 1-4-1) 17-2. Katie Henchy made one save to keep the clean sheet for SU.

SU also celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness as part of the games’ festivities.

The team will next be in action against Catholic at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
