Finding Selinsgrove’s Hidden Gem Businesses

By Elizabeth Smith

The Mystic Gem Boutique, located in downtown Selinsgrove, is a shop that offers a curated selection of vintage or gently used clothing, jewelry, crystals and unique accessories.

Owned by Kayla Black, the boutique emphasizes sustainability and supports other small businesses by sourcing items that are either handcrafted by artisans or sustainably sourced.

Black’s personal experiences and passion for thrift shopping have shaped the boutique’s mission to provide unique, eco-friendly products for the community.

Every item in the boutique tells a story from hand wrapped crystal necklaces, a gently loved boho dress or sustainably crafted candle made by a local maker.

What sets the Mystic Gem apart from other retailers its commitment to fair trade and eco-friendly practices. The store also avoids mass production and excessive packaging, emphasizing quality over quantity and encouraging customers to shop mindfully.

Inside, the boutique smells like incense, displays of gems shimmer and racks of clothing are arranged with care. The vibe is warm and welcoming and the perfect place to start your journey into sustainable fashion.

In addition to offering unique products, The Mystic Gem Boutique hosts pop-up events, artists features and crystal workshops to engage the community.

The boutique has become a favorite among students and locals who appreciate its blend of metaphysical elements, thoughtful gifting options and Black’s personal touch.

You can keep up with new arrivals and upcoming events through the store’s Facebook and Instagram @themysticgemboutique.

The Mystic Gem Boutique is open 12pm to 4pm Thursday, Friday and Sunday and 10am to 2pm on Saturday. They are located at 34B S Market Street, Selinsgrove, PA.
