Starting Up Susquehanna’s Student Entrepreneurs

The second Student Startup Market event filled all three floors of Apfelbaum Hall on March 13.

Hosted by the entrepreneurship experience class (MGMT 434) and Sigma Nu Tau, the entrepreneurship honor society, the event provided a platform for over 30 student entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses and connect with potential customers.

The market emphasized the importance of supporting young entrepreneurs. It fosters a culture of creativity here at Susquehanna by creating a space for students to share their innovative ideas and products.

The Student Startup Market not only helped student businesses gain visibility but also reinforced the university’s commitment to entrepreneurship and hands-on learning opportunities.

The event served as a valuable opportunity for student entrepreneurs to apply what they have learned in a real-world business setting.

Students were able to engage with customers and gain firsthand experience in marketing and sales. Additionally, the market encouraged collaboration and networking among students, faculty and the local community.

Students who are interested in showcasing their businesses at future Student Startup Markets can follow Sigma Nu Tau on Instagram: @susquehanna_sigmanutau . These events provide a supportive space to test business ideas, gain exposure and build a customer base.

Susquehanna offers several resources to student entrepreneurs such as the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, business mentorship opportunities and networking events to help students grow their ventures.

The Troutman Entrepreneurship Fund also provides financial support to student businesses, offering funding for students to launch or expand their ventures, helping them turn their dream into a reality.

The Student Startup Market has had a lasting impact on student entrepreneurs, offering them a platform to develop their skills and build confidence. By supporting these events and utilizing resources like the Troutman Entrepreneurship Fund, Susquehanna helps students turn their entrepreneurial ideas into successful ventures.
