Susquehanna’s Luxury Brand Marketing Club Presents Upcoming Fashion Show: “Reduce, Reuse, Restyle”

One of Susquehanna University’s newest clubs, the Luxury Brand Marketing Club (LBMC), has seen a significant impact on the university and development since its establishment in the fall of 2024. Isabella Fallon, the club’s founder and president, was interviewed to provide insight on the club and its upcoming events.

Fallon recalls starting the club as “daunting” because she was not sure how students would react and wondered what type of support she would receive.

Her goal was to “create an inclusive space where students from all majors could come together and explore their love for luxury brands, creativity and marketing.” The LBMC offers amazing opportunities to gain hands-on experience for those interested in “fashion, beauty, cars, hospitality or even tech.”

When asked what Fallon’s biggest accomplishments and successes for the club are so far, she proudly shared the LBMC’s fall project, a student-led lookbook, along with their first fashion show, Reduce, Reuse, Restyle, which will take place on March 16.

The fashion show’s theme is sustainability: “Each designer was challenged to create their looks entirely from thrifted items,” said Fallon. The team has partnered with Selinsgrove’s local thrift store, Community Aid, to help promote conscious fashion while also designing imaginative and stylish outfits.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the club’s projects is that it is entirely student-run. From the designers and models to the production team, it allows those going into these fields to gain experience.

Since this is the first fashion show the club has hosted, there is no set dress code. However, it is said that those attending will wear business casual outfits, but the club “encourage[s] guests to dress fashionably and in a way that makes them feel confident and stylish!”

For those who are interested in fashion but may not feel confident to show off your style, Fallon shares that she also struggled with confidence when experimenting with her style.

She offers advice that “[…] confidence in fashion isn’t about wearing the ‘perfect’ outfit. It’s about embracing your personal style and owning it. And once you do that, you’ll start to love fashion even more.”

If you would like to attend Reduce, Reuse, Restyle on March 16, at 2 p.m. or want more information about the Luxury Brand Marketing Club, check out their Instagram, @sulmbclub.
