Susquehanna University is gearing up to host Break Through, its twelfth annual student-alumni networking conference from Feb. 10 to the 15. Open to all students, the conference focuses on connecting students to alumni that can help them reach their goals towards graduation and beyond.
This unique opportunity is designed to help students make the most out of their college experience and push them toward their future goals. Break Through will feature discussions on career exploration, industry-specific pathways, networking strategies, mental health, internship and employment prospects, and more. They will also have the opportunity to connect with company representatives. Whether a student is just beginning their college journey or getting ready to start their career, this event will offer resources and alumni connections to support their goals.
Feb. 10 through the 13 will consist of virtual panels that are tailored to specific majors and industries via Zoom links, where various alumni will share their expertise. On Saturday, Feb. 15, the conference will shift to in-person sessions held on campus in the Charles B. Degenstein Campus Center. These discussions will cover broad topics that can relate to any student regardless of career path and will continue throughout the day.
Additionally, on Saturday, there will be a PopCam photo booth where students can take a free LinkedIn headshot which will be delivered through email. This will be available from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to help students enhance their professional profiles.
The schedule for the discussions and networking opportunities as well as a list of companies represented throughout the event is available on the Susquehanna website. Students can confirm their spot in the conference by registering through Handshake.
