Drag Yourself Out to the Show

The Student Activities Committee (SAC) welcomed back host Trixy Valentine, among other drag queens, for Susquehanna University’s fourth annual drag show on October 4.

This year’s show welcomed back old favorites and new faces as the queens took to the Trax stage to perform Friday night.

Rosa De La Cruz, Ensex, Alonya Chest, Tequilla Divine and the drag show’s host Trixy Valentine all gave a variety of performances to make for a night of laughs and entertainment for SU students.

“Whoever we are, you all get to experience what it is to be empowered by drag,” said Valentine.

It wasn’t just the drag queens on stage though. A collection of SU students who participated in a Drag dance class earlier that night were given the opportunity to join Valentine on stage and showcase what they learned.

“Susquehanna is the best college to perform at,” Valentine said. “You guys are always so welcoming and positive.”

Fellow performer Tequilla Divine would later go on to say that Susquehanna was the best audience she’s ever performed for in her two years of drag.

The first 200 students to arrive at Trax left with free T-shirts given by SAC, but all the students left laughing and waiting for next year’s show.
