Susquehanna University’s episode of The College Tour premiered on Wednesday, March 1, on Amazon Prime Video.

There was a watch party held at Charlie’s Coffeehouse in Lower Deg for students, faculty and staff to watch the premiere of the 30 minute episode together with free drinks and popcorn.

The College Tour is an Amazon Prime Video series, hosted by Alex Boylan, which tells the stories of college and university campuses around the world. Each episode is focused on a college or university and follows real students on a day in their lives, highlighting campus life, academics, athletics and opportunities on campus as well as what it’s like to be a student at the school.

Alanis Castro Pacheco talked about why she wanted to share her story on The College Tour, saying, “I thought this would just be a really great experience to share the opportunities that I’ve had here because they’re really unique.”

Ten students shared their Susquehanna Story, each highlighting unique aspects of what it means to be at Susquehanna. Arianna Sivio focused on leadership opportunities. Craig Lyttleton discussed his experience with athletics as well as creating his own club. Claire Mulkey talked about her study abroad experience, highlighting the uniqueness of the GO program at Susquehanna. Hannah Mackey talked about diversity on campus and the creative writing program. Adam Hanna shared his experiences in the music department. Danielle Tryon talked about the environmental science programs and opportunities on campus. Alanis Castro Pacheco talked about the business school and Luke Waldner talked about his experiences as a sports media major and his time in WQSU. Kallan Carter talked about athletics on campus and Charlotte Horvat discussed her involvement in Greek Life and the Honors program.

After the premiere there was a Q&A session with the students. Luke Waldner reflected on his experience saying, “I learned, but I also felt a lot while doing this and what I felt was a lot of the community that’s here on campus, everybody was so nice.”
