“Halloweekend” at Susquehanna

Campus recently came alive with the spirit of Halloween. Three events gave students and locals the opportunity to celebrate the spookiest holiday of the year.

On Friday, Oct. 29, the Phi Mu Delta fraternity hosted a haunted house. Their house was decorated as a haunted inn complete with room service and a dinner party. Students were guided through various rooms and interacted with members dressed as employees and guests looking for their next meal.

The Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity also hosted a haunted house on Saturday, Oct. 30. Oct. 31 brought the event that both the SU and Selinsgrove communities look forward to every year: Halloween on the Ave.

University Avenue was full of trick-or-treaters from the local area as well as SU students and staff. Fraternity and sorority houses were decorated with various themes and offered candy, hot dogs, popcorn, and other snacks. The Susquehanna dance team performed a kick line and routine twice throughout the course of the event in front of the WQSU table.

While it was chilly, SU kept the community busy with their Halloween events. This weekend proved to be a wonderful step in returning to normalcy.
