Spoilers found below:

He brings out your deepest desires, he can appear anywhere within seconds and his brother can stop time, but most of all, he’s “your friendly neighborhood devil.”

“Lucifer,” starring Tom Ellis as  the title character, Lauren German as Chloe Decker, D.B Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Kevin Alejandro as Dan Espinoza and Rachel Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, ran on Fox from January 2016 to May 2018.

For a while, it looked as if fans had seen the last of Lucifer and all his charm. But a month later, the show was picked up by Netflix and the fourth season premiered in May 2019.  Netflix picking up the show  allowed a whole new audience to experience Lucifer, especially those who may not have cable.

It became one of the most bingeable shows that Netflix has to offer, always keeping the viewers guessing on what’s to come.

The show follows Lucifer, one of God’s many children and angels, who left Hell, where he had been sentenced to rule for thousands of years. After leaving Hell, he made himself a life of luxury in Los Angeles, complete with a nightclub and a penthouse overlooking the city.

Lucifer became known for his ability to uncover people’s deepest secrets and deliver favors, only asking for a favor of his own in return. The first favor we learn of was granted to a famous pop star, who ends up being murdered outside of Lucifer’s nightclub. Lucifer is also shot; however, he comes away unscathed aside from a few bullet holes in his suit. This is when his immortality is revealed.

After the murder, the police are brought in to investigate, which is when Lucifer meets Detective Chloe Decker, the one person immune to his charm. During the investigation, Lucifer managed to nearly kill two people, but made up for his mistakes when he saved Chloe’s life.

The bond they form leads to their work partnership in which Lucifer uses his charm to find the truth, while Chloe plays the bad cop. Lucifer openly admits to being the devil, but Chloe chalks it up to him dealing with personal issues.

As the series progressed, Chloe and Lucifer’s relationship changed from a working partnership to romantic with Chloe eventually accepting him as the actual devil, which complicates their relationship even more.

In the most recent season, 5A, they are still working on their relationship which is in jeopardy when Lucifer’s twin, Michael, shows up and pretends to be him in order to ruin his life.

After the last episode of season 5A, viewers were left wondering what was going to happen between Chloe and Lucifer and what will become of all the issues Michael has caused including outing Lucifer as the devil to Chloe’s ex-husband.

This show is one of my favorites, if not the favorite, but don’t just take my word for it. Lucifer has been ranked as high as Top 4 on Netflix’s top shows and has been renewed for season 5B and 6. But until then, viewers are repeatedly binge-watching seasons 1-5A for Lucifer’s charm and Chloe’s consistent strength and determination.
