Press Release provided by Joseph Peachey

Selinsgrove – The Susquehanna University Department of Theatre is proud to present the 24 Hour Play Festival as a part of its Second Stage season.

Due to COVID-19, operations for the festival will be entirely online, which certainly works well for the experimental performances the 24 Hour Play Festival usually entails.

The 24 Hour Play Festival is an experience in acting, writing, and directing for Susquehanna University theatre students, all in 24 hours. Student teams conceptualize, write, rehearse, and perform exciting new short plays in the span of a single day. This year, the plays will be reminiscent of old radio plays or modern audiobooks, being only comprised of audio.

The Department of Theatre will record the performances during the day, and then upload the recording to the Susquehanna Theatre Department page on Facebook where the public can view the performance, available for free.
