Nearly 15 years ago, three brothers began their rise to music stardom with their good looks and pop, rock, and punk beats.
The brothers, known individually as Nick, Kevin and Joe, are collectively known as the singing trio Jonas Brothers. On their road to fame, they toured with big names like Jesse McCartney, Backstreet Boys and Kelly Clarkson, as well as fellow Disney stars, Ally and AJ and the Cheetah Girls.
The Jonas Brothers fan-base continued to grow as they guest starred on popular TV shows and lent their voices to popular soundtracks such as “Meet the Robinsons” and “Zoey 101.”
Following this, they were cast in the “Camp Rock” films as Connect 3, a band who shows up to their uncle’s summer camp. Between movies, they were given their own TV show, “Jonas,” which cemented their success.
Their show ,“Jonas,” followed the trio as they lived in a converted firehouse, attended high school and attempted to fit in with the real world.
It gained such popularity that it received a second season titled “Jonas LA,” which focused on the boys spending a summer in L.A., but was canceled after one season.
By 2013, after eight years of fame, the Jonas Brothers were once again, Nick, Joe and Kevin, the Jonas brothers, and the dreams of many early 2000’s kids’ vanished.
The boys went their own directions.
We thought we had seen the last of the Jonas Brothers, but after six years of solo careers, acting and finding love, the brothers made the news official. They were reunited and the Jonas Brothers were back.
In 2019, they released three singles, “Sucker,” “Cool,” and “Only Human” as well as their fifth studio album, “Happiness Begins.”
Going into 2020, they were among the top artists in multiple age groups, and in early January, released a decade- defying music video for their newest song, “What A Man Gotta Do.”
The catchy song begs the question “What a man gotta do to be totally locked up by you?” and is hanging out in the top 25 of nearly every US music chart.
The video features all three Jonas brothers and each of their wives, actresses Priyanka Chopra and Sophie Turner, and TV personality Danielle Jonas, performing dance numbers and scenes from famous movies like “Grease,” “Say Anything” and “Risky Business.”
Having their wives in the video really showcases how the boys have grown over the past 15 years. They went from a cute, teenage boy band to chart-topping family men, who entertain all ages, and show how impactful their relationships are on their careers.
If anything, their growth is only going to make their music better, and so far, it truly has.
