Susquehanna recently announced the hiring of three individuals slated to undertake vital positions at the university.
Dave Ramsaran, Michal Dixon, and Jennifer Servedio will all begin their new roles by early November.
Ramsaran is set to take over as the university’s provost and dean of faculty. Dixon will become the new chief inclusion and diversity officer and Servedio is the university’s next chief information officer.
Ramsaran has served as interim provost since July. Ramsaran will oversee administration process planning and implementation of all academic programs.
“I also hope to use my experience as a faculty member to promote faculty development through scholarly research and creative activity,” he said.
Michael Dixon will join Susquehanna as the university’s new chief inclusion and diversity officer, starting on Nov. 1 with the university. He currently serves as Manchester University’s chief diversity officer and director of intercultural services. Dixon is tasked with working with the campus’ president and leaders to implement new efforts and strengthen current efforts in inclusion and diversity.
President Jonathan Green was optimistic about Dixon’s arrival as he stated in the university’s press release on hiring Dixon: “I look forward to welcoming Michael to the SU community and to working with him to promote a welcoming environment for all, on and off campus,” Green said.
Jennifer Servedio will join Susquehanna as chief information officer, beginning her duties on Nov. 4. She currently serves as director of budget and strategic planning in the Office of Information Technology (IT) for Colgate University. In overseeing Susquehanna’s IT Office, Servedio will be tasked with overseeing day-to-day operations of the office while also overseeing department strategies and project management efforts, working closely with campus leaders.
Per the university’s press release, executive vice president Mike Coyne was excited for the arrival of Servedio. “Jennifer understands that the secret to achieving the potential of information technology has to be centered in both the people who stand up and support the technology and the people who use the technology,” Coyne said.
Servedio spent most of her professional career at Colgate University, rising to her current position after serving in the interim.
